If the reason coach Bill Belichick played the starters bestseodongeroxu for the first two series against the Giants was so that they could build confidence and get a better feel for what they have, then they will be leaving Meadowlands Stadium with a sour taste in their mouths. Remember that Steve Hutchinson and Anthony Herrera are fully healthy this season and the defense gets its MVP, E.J. Henderson back once again. Henderson has had a truly inspirational comeback and the way he has played in the preseason has given the Vikings plenty of reason to be excited.
By no means am I saying that the Vikings will be the best team in the NFL, but there's no reason why they shouldn't easily coast into the playoffs. People are jumping the gun a little too quick with all these injury concerns.

It was more of the same when Giants quarterback Eli Manning directed a 9-play 86-yard of the first drive of the game that culminated with Kevin Bass scoring on a 13-yard catch-and-run. As for the offense, Tom Brady led the team on an 8-play 45-yard scoring drive on their first possession following a 55-yard kickoff return by Thomas Clayton. Brady looked sharp on the scoring play, standing back in the face of three rushers and finding rookie tight end Rob Gronkowski over the middle for a 5-yard touchdown. On their next possession, Brady severely underthrew a pass to Moss on a fly-route that was intercepted by Antrelle Rolle. Reserve offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger was given the opportunity to start at right guard in place of Dan Connolly and performed poorly.
The team tested Ohrnberger by running Fred Taylor behind him three times for a total of five yards. The starters from both teams were removed early in the second quarter.
